Bambu Lab H3C Confirmed: Nine-Tool Tool Changer, Reveal on 3 November

It started as a leak and it's now official. A banner for a printer called the H3C briefly went live on the Australian Bambu Lab store, and a day later Bambu Lab confirmed it: a tool changer with nine tools, the tagline "Tool Changer. Game Changer." and a reveal on Tuesday 3 November at 2pm UK time. This guide covers what's confirmed, what the leak showed, how it fits with an FCC filing and patents from earlier this year, and what it could mean for anyone about to buy a Bambu Lab printer.

✅ Confirmed by Bambu Lab · Last updated 23 October 2026

Bambu Lab has confirmed the H3C and the reveal time on its homepage and an official product page, with a teaser video and an email to UK customers. We'll update this guide again after the reveal on 3 November.

Bambu Lab H3C fact sheet: confirmed nine-tool tool changer, front drop-down rack, reveal Tuesday 3 November at 2pm UK time, FCC ID 2A6J8-PF008P, price not announced

What Bambu Lab has now confirmed

On 23 October, the day after the leak, Bambu Lab made it official. Here's what it has confirmed so far:

  • The name and tagline: Bambu Lab H3C, "Tool Changer. Game Changer."
  • The reveal: November 3, 2:00 PM GMT, given in an email from Bambu Lab UK with the subject line "Nine paths. One drop." The H3C is also now the lead banner on Bambu Lab's own homepage, which shows the same moment as 9:00 AM EST.
  • Nine tools: the official teaser shows nine tool positions, each with its own filament path arching over the top of the machine from the rear.
  • A drop-down rack: the 11-second teaser video shows a tool rack mounted at the front of the chamber dropping down into place.

Price, specifications and whether 3 November is an announcement or the start of orders are still to come.

What leaked

The banner was spotted by a Reddit user and shared on r/BambuLab. It appeared in the hero slot of the Australian Bambu Lab store, the same place Bambu Lab normally puts its launch teasers, and was gone when the page was reloaded. Here's what it showed:

  • The name: Bambu Lab H3C, which would make it the next flagship after the H2 series.
  • The tagline: "Tool Changer. Game Changer."
  • The date: November 4, 1:00 AM AEDT, with a "Learn more" button.
  • The image: a darkened printer with nine numbered positions along the top, each with its own filament line feeding in from above, and mechanical parts below each position.

Bambu Lab's official teaser, released the next day, matches the banner's name, tagline, nine tools and date, so the leak turned out to be accurate.

When is the reveal in UK time?

Bambu Lab UK's email confirms the reveal at 2:00pm GMT, which matches the Australian banner's 1:00am AEDT on 4 November. The UK will be back on GMT by then, so here it lands on Tuesday afternoon:

Bambu Lab hasn't said whether this is a product announcement, the start of pre-orders, or both.

Tool changer vs nozzle changer: what's different

The tagline is the most interesting part of the leak. Bambu Lab's current multi-material flagships all print through a small number of nozzles. The H2D has two. The H2C adds Bambu Lab's Vortek system, which swaps hotends from a rack, but filament changes still involve some purging. A true tool changer works differently: each position is a complete print head with its own filament loaded, and the printer parks one and picks up another instead of unloading and reloading.

Full specifications are still to come, but the practical benefits are the ones tool changers are known for:

  • Far less purge waste. With filament already loaded in each head, there's little or no need to flush the old colour out.
  • Faster colour and material changes. A tool swap takes seconds rather than a full unload, load and purge cycle.
  • Cleaner multi-material prints. Materials that don't mix well, such as a support material and the model material, never share a nozzle.
  • Per-head tuning. In principle each head can carry a different nozzle size or type for the job it's doing.

Some coverage has compared the layout to Bondtech's INDX system, developed with Prusa. The resemblance is visual only: there's no known link between Bambu Lab and either company.

The paper trail behind the leak

Neither the leak nor the confirmation came out of nowhere. Two earlier sets of documents point in the same direction.

The FCC filing

A device labelled H3C, model PF008-P, was filed with the FCC under ID 2A6J8-PF008P on 11 September 2026. The filing shows a rear power inlet and dual-band Wi-Fi. The same batch of filings also listed a P3C, an X2D Pro, and two new AMS units, the AMS 3H and AMS 3P. The external and internal photos are confidential until March 2027, which is a standard confidentiality window rather than a launch date.

The patents

Three Chinese patent applications from Bambu Lab, published on 14 August 2026 (CN 122560409 A, CN 122560412 A and CN 122560413 A), describe a printer with nine print heads parked in a rack plus one on the toolhead: ten in total. The rack uses magnetic, spring-loaded docks, and the printer lowers the bed before swapping heads near the start of a print.

Nine tools in a rack is exactly what Bambu Lab's teaser shows. Patents never name products, so we can't say for certain this is the H3C's design, but the teaser, the filing and the patents all line up neatly.

⚠️ Watch out for fake images

Other "leaked" H3C photos have been circulating, and at least one has been widely questioned as AI-generated. Only trust images from Bambu Lab itself: the Australian store banner, the official teaser video and the H3C product page.

Price: what to expect

Nothing has been announced. Most coverage expects the H3C to sit above the H2C as the new top of the range, and one blogger's pre-leak guess puts it at around $2,299. With nine complete print heads instead of one or two, it would be a surprise if it came in cheaper. Wait for the official figure before planning around any number, and remember that UK prices rarely convert directly from US pricing.

What we still don't know

  1. Whether 3 November is an announcement, a pre-order launch, or both.
  2. The price, and whether there will be combo bundles with the new AMS units.
  3. Whether the patents' tenth head, carried on the toolhead alongside the nine in the rack, is part of the final design.
  4. Build volume, nozzle temperatures, chamber heating and supported materials.
  5. How the AMS 3H and AMS 3P fit in, and whether existing AMS units still work.
  6. Where the H2C sits in the range once the H3C arrives.
  7. UK availability and shipping dates.

Should you wait before buying an H2D or H2C?

If you were about to buy a high-end multi-material Bambu Lab printer, hold off until 3 November: it's less than two weeks away, so waiting costs you very little. At worst you'll have one more option to compare. At best you'll get a far more capable machine, or a better price on the current H2 series if the range shuffles around it.

If you're shopping for a single-colour workhorse or a budget printer, this leak doesn't change much. The H3C is clearly aimed at the top end.

It's also a busy month for Bambu Lab. The S1 3D scanner is due in November too, though nothing so far links the two launches.

Frequently asked questions

When will the Bambu Lab H3C be revealed?

Tuesday 3 November 2026 at 2:00pm GMT (UK time). Bambu Lab confirmed the date and time in an email to UK customers. It has not said whether this is an announcement only or the start of orders.

Is the H3C a tool changer or a nozzle changer?

A tool changer. Bambu Lab's own tagline is "Tool Changer. Game Changer." and its teaser video shows nine tools in a front-mounted rack that drops down, each with its own filament path. That is different from the nozzle-changing Vortek system on the H2C. Full technical details are due at the reveal.

How much will the Bambu Lab H3C cost?

No price has been announced. Most coverage expects it to sit above the H2C, but any figure you see before the reveal is a guess.

Is the Bambu Lab H3C real?

Yes. After the banner briefly appeared on Bambu Lab's Australian store, Bambu Lab confirmed the H3C with an official product page, a teaser video and an email to customers. The name also appears in an FCC filing (2A6J8-PF008P, model PF008-P) from September 2026.

Should I wait for the H3C before buying an H2D or H2C?

If you were planning a high-end multi-material Bambu Lab printer, wait until the reveal on 3 November: it is less than two weeks away, and you will either have a new option or a clearer picture of where the H2 series stands.
